AGTA Spectrum Summer 2016 Ricardo Basta Winning Rings

Every summer, AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) holds the AGTA Spectrum Awards, a competition for jewelers who work with natural colored gemstones. Considered the finest jewelry and gemstone competition in the world, any win is an immense honor.

This year we're excited to announce that Ricardo Basta Fine Jewelry won not just one award, but an unheard of 4! Our "Royal Blue" quilt jacket ring won 1st place in the Bridal Wear category as well as taking Platinum honors.

About the Royal Blue ring: featuring a 12.00 ct. blue Sapphire accented with Diamonds (2.59 ctw.). The ring features a detachable 18K yellow gold "Quilt" jacket featuring Turquoise accented with Diamonds (.43 ctw.) and tsavorite Garnets (.16 ctw.).

Our Heliodore Bee ring took first place in Business wear, with a 13.58 ct Heliodor accented with Sapphires and Diamonds and little bees adorned throughout the ring.

Finally, we were surprised and elated to learn that our slave ring, made with Tanzanite, Opal, Tsavorite Garnet and Diamonds won the Editor's Choice Awards!
